Couples Engagement Photos with Dogs

Saying "I do" to someone often means making a commitment to someone's pet as well. With Seattle having more dogs than children (approximately 25% of Seattle households have canines, vs. 20% with kids), I often get requests from couples who want their photos taken with their furry friends.

Dogs make the photo shoots a bit longer and more challenging.  Most of the time, animals just want to do their own thing. I've found that it's good to bring treats along for the dogs, to encourage them to look toward the camera.  But when we get the picture right, it's worth the extra effort!

First Date Memories at Point Defiance Park

I recently had an engagement photo session with A'Dailya and Bryce, who wanted to go to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, where they had their very first date. The couple initially met online in 2012, while Bryce, who is in the Army, was stationed in Kuwait.  After months of communicating through their computers, they finally met in person, and their chemistry grew.  They joked and laughed constantly, and our photo session unfolded very naturally.  I can't wait to photograph this fun couple at their wedding!
